Last weekend we were able to go down to Cayucos and stay at my Grandma's beach house!!! It was so fun and relaxing! We went to the beach, the children's museum, and just hung out!!! We had so much fun and didn't want to come home!!!!

Happy Easter 2011!!! We had a special day spent with family and reflecting on the resurrection of our Savior. I'm grateful for Him and his life.

Nash is getting so big and growing up so much!!! I'm so grateful to be his Mom and see him learn and grow. I just love him so much! (And yes Sean and Nash have matching ties :) )

So thanks to Laura I'm updating my blog! Nash is now almost 14 months and is all over the place. He is into everything and talking up a storm. He says so many things, mama, daddy, pappa, mi (for mimi), aba (for ava), gobbo gob (for uncle rob), peek a boo, up please, down please, happy, more please...and the list keeps going! He is such a blessing in our family and we love him so much! What did we ever do before he was in our family. He turned 1 in August and we had a surf party. It was so much fun and so many people came to celebrate. Gobbo Gob made the cutest cake ever!!! We finally took a family pic since Cam returned home and Nash was born! Next, we were able to go to Disney World with some of our fam, the Jackson's, and Aunt Steph and Carson. We had a blast and Nash loved it. Despite the heat and humidity we loved ever second!!!! Our favorite was probably Hollywood Studios. And last Uncle Cory returned home from his mission a week ago and we were able to see the fam in Utah. We had so much fun and finally took some family pics with the VanWagenen's. We are so blessed and life is so great! I'm loving this time of year and let me tell you the crafting is getting to be some much fun!!!!!! Maybe I will post those someday!

So as you can tell I have not been good at all at blogging! We haven't had a computer we could download pictures on but 2 months ago we got a new comp so I don't have that excuse anymore. Nash is going to be 1 year old in 20 days and the last post was from when he was born and things have changed a lot since then. Nash is such a blessing in our lives and I really don't know what Sean and I did before Nash. He is starting to walk and has so much personality! He has started doing this new face we call skrunge face. He does it all the time thanks to Aunt Call! Life is great and we feel so blessed to have a healthy happy baby! I cannot believe he is going to be 1 so soon.

Nash Michael

Nash Michael was born on Tuesday August 11th at 1:29 pm. He weighed 8 lbs. 20 1/2 inches. I was so lucky and begged my doctor to induce me on Monday. I was already dilated to a 3 and my doctor said that I owed him because he would induce on my due date, and with your first he usually doesn't do that. I was so ready to be done being pregnant and couldn't imagine waiting another week. We went in Tuesday morning at 6:30 am and I was already dilated to a 4 on my own. By like 7 :45 was put on pitocin and my doctor broke my water at like 8:15. I was ready for an epidural by that point and it was smooth sailin from that point on. I started to go on my own like 30 min after and was taken off pitocin. Nash was born a few hours after and it was so fun having my family all there. (at least everyone but Cam) Nash was healthy and beautiful! He hardly cried and seemed to calm himself down!! It was such an amazing experience and went a lot better than I planned for...at least the labor part. Nash is so cute and such a good baby. He has Sean's nose and eyes I think and my families chin. He also has the longest hands, fingers, toes, and feet!!! Mom and Nash are both doing well and healthy and that's all I could ask for!!! We are some proud parents and think we make a pretty cute baby!!!!!

So here are just a few pics that were taken a few weeks ago, I am already bigger and more pregnant. We only have 4 weeks left until my due date, but the doctor ensures me that I will go over. That's just something I knew but don't want to hear from the doctor. I went to the doctor yesterday and they said that Nash's head is starting to go down and that I'm not dilated at all yet. I figured so! I have been feeling pretty good for the most part, I am still able to do spin about 4 days a week and work a couple. I really do feel too good to go into labor...at least I think so. The only thing that is uncomfortable are nights. I am carrying really high and so when I lie down at night I sometimes feel like I can't get enough oxygen, but it really is fine. I was able to have a baby shower a couple of weeks ago and got so many fun things! It is starting to feel more real and I am really getting excited for little Nash to come!! Hopefully everything in the next couple of weeks goes well, I'm pretty sure with my track record that I might not make another post until after he comes. Hopefully I am wrong but we'll see.

Disneyland Ok, so it's been a few good months since I have updated or put anything on our blog. We have been pretty busy lately and before that I was too sick to sit at a computer and update our blog. So some of the things happening in our life go like this...most importantly we are having a baby boy on August 12th, hopefully no later and are so excited!! I was very sick and still have some moments, but for the most part I'm doing a lot better. I'm starting to show now and so it makes it a little more real than before. We also moved to Rocklin to be close to family and out of the heat before I got too big! Sean is still working for AT&T and I am currently not working!! I have helped out in my Dad's office a few times and need to find something permanent soon. Sean turned 27 last Tuesday and we were able to go to San Francisco for a night. It was really fun to get away for even just a night. We just did the typical SF stuff, it was really relaxing though. I was able to go to Disneyland with Lindsey and Rob for Zoie's 4th birthday. We had a lot of fun and it was really fun seeing the girls there. I was not able to go on any of the the big rides and saw a glimpse of what life would be like in 5 short months!! It was a lot of fun though. And yesterday, Easter Sunday was a lot of fun. We usually go to the coast but this year it didn't work out so we were able to spend it with Lindsey, Rob, and the girls, my Dad, and some friends form our ward. It was a lot of fun and very relaxing! So life is pretty good right now, not much to complain about. Except for the fact that I'm starting NOT to fit into all my clothes, it's kind of depressing...We are so blessed and so excited for the next couple of months!

ANOTHER UPDATE

WELL WELL WELL........ANOTHER 2 MONTHS HAS GONE BY AND WE HAVEN'T UPDATED THE BLOG AT ALL. I WONDER WHY WE EVEN HAVE ONE BUT IT IS FUN TO GET ON HERE AND CHECK UP ON EVERYBODY. AS YOU CAN TELL I AM AT WORK BORED AGAIN AND WHEN I GET BORED I WRITE. SO I JUST WANTED TO LET EVERYONE KNOW WHAT HAS BEEN GOIN ON THE LAST COUPLE MONTHS.

I MENTIONED IN OUR LAST POST THAT WE WERE PATIENTLY WAITING ON A JOB TRANSFER WITH AT&T. JUST TO LET EVEYONE KNOW IT WAS A HUGE ORDEAL THAT TOOK ALOT OF WORK, FASTING, PRAYING AND ALOT OF HEADACHES. BUT AFTER 3 MONTHS OF WORKING ON IT MY TRANSFER WAS FINALLY APPROVED ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO. SO WHAT THAT MEANS IS THAT OUR HOUSE IS A DISASTER WITH BOXES AND RANDOM STUFF ALL OVER THE PLACE AND WE WILL PACK IT UP ON THURSDAY AND MOVE UP TO ROCKLIN, CA. IT ALL HAPPENED REALLY FAST ONCE THE TRANSFER WAS COMPLETED. CHELSEAS MOM AND DAD ARE COMING DOWN TO HELP US DRIVE UP AND I START WORK AT MY NEW STORE IN CITRUS HEIGHTS ON MONDAY THE 16TH. I REALLY CAN'T BELIEVE THAT WE ARE REALLY MOVING. OF COURSE I AM BIASED HAVING GROWN UP HERE IN PHOENIX, BUT I AM GOING TO MISS IT HERE. I THINK CHELSEA AND I HAVE REALLY GROWN HERE. WE WERE ALL BY OURSELVES AND HAD TO FIGURE EVERYTHING OUT ON OUR OWN AND I THINK THAT REALLY HELPED US. WITH THAT BEING SAID WE ARE REALLY EXCITED TO LIVE BY FAMILY.

BESIDES THAT....CHELS CONTINUES TO GET MORE PREGGERS EVEN THOUGH SHE DOESNT LOOK LIKE IT. THE SICKNESS IS SLOWLY GOING AWAY AND SHE SEEMS TO IMPROVE EVERY WEEK. WE JUST KNOW TO STAY AWAY FROM CERTAIN FOOD!!!! WE HAD AN ULTRASOUND YESTERDAY AND MY WILDEST DREAMS WERE CONFIRMED THAT WE WILL BE HAVING A BOY!!!!! I RAISED MY ARMS IN VICTORY WHEN I SAW THE LITTLE JOHNSON!! IT WAS GREAT. HIS NAME IS GOING TO BE NASH AND WE CAN'T WAIT UNTIL HE GETS HERE. WE ARE SO BLESSED AND REALLY HAVE SEEN THOSE BLESSINGS IN A BIG WAY IN THE LAST MONTH OR SO. WE ARE EXCITED FOR ALL THE CHANGES.

A little update

Hey everybody, it's Sean. We are the worst bloggers and I apologize that we haven't put up anything from the holidays but oh well. Just wanted to update everyone a little on whats going on with us. We are anxiously awaiting word on a job transfer for me. I am trying to transfer with AT&T to a store up in Sacramento. We have been waiting for a little while and with the economic situation we could be waiting a little while longer. Chels got to spend 2 weeks with her family over the holidays which she loved while I was down here working. It wasn't all bad though because I got to watch my Utah Utes go undefeated and win the Sugar Bowl.

Besdies that we got some exciting news...............We are expecting our first little one on August 12. We are really excited, but these first couple weeks haven't been easy. Chelsea has been pretty sick but with the help of our doctor and a friend in our ward she has some medicine that helps her a little bit. So we are hoping these next 7 months go by fast so we can hopefully have a son!!!!!(Chels of course wants a girl). We hope everyone is doing well.

My Birthday!!

Thanks to everyone who made my Birthday so special, especially Sean and my Mom. My Mom totally surprised me and came for the weekend. It was so much fun and it made my birthday very special. Sean never does me wrong when it comes to birthday's and presents. He's crazy!! Everyday he wanted to give me another present. Don't get me wrong I love presents!!! My favorite presents were my Mom coming to be with Sean and I, and then my new camera. Oh and Sean did the sweetest thing. He got 3 of my bestest friends to write me a note for my birthday and put them on a poster. It was the sweetest thing ever and I loved it!!! Thanks babe for all you do for me and for making my birthday so special!!! Here are a few pics of my b-day dinner, it was very yummy!!!

Simple Life Lessons

Well it is a slow and dead friday at the Fiesta Mall AT&T so you get a nice post from Sean. I think this is the only time I ever contribute to the blog. I actually really enjoy googling people and seeing if they have blogs. It really makes time pass by quickly at work and I love to see what everyone is up to..........

This last weekend Chels left me alone to go to California to take her State boards. So i got to spend a little time with my dad. He came down to go to Priesthood session of conference with me since my little brother Cory went into the mission field wednesday. So we got to spend a little father son bonding time at conference and have a nice meal with my Uncle Mike.

My job has taken me out of church a bit lately so it was really nice to be able to take a couple hours and listen to the brethren. I really loved it and I have gotten back into the habit of taking notes when I am at priesthood. It was great to be able to feel things that I know my Heavenly Father intended me to hear and I am going to share on little piece of inspiration I recieved.

President Uchtdorf has been one of my favorites for about 7 years now. He came and spoke to us when I was in the MTC and I loved him then and love him even more now. I think it is because he is German and reminds me of my grandpa, and even served with my grandparents when they were missionaries. Anyways.......he gave a story of him and a bunch of brothers in the church trying to move a grand piano out of the chapel and in to the cultural hall. No matter how much they tried they could not figure out how to move the piano. Well an older brother gave his two cents and simply told the brothers the way to move the piano. He simply said.......
"Stand close together and lift where you stand"
When Pres. Uchtdorf said this I immediately felt that it was directed at me. As soon as this brother offered this advice the piano lifted effortlessly off the ground.

I thought about me needing to do a better job of taking care of the things I have control over, and that if I do my part, the lord will bless me. One little saying changed my focus. I hope I can simply "Lift where I stand"

Football season is here...

So many of you know Sean has a love and obsession for the game of football. The only thing on our TV now is, I know shocking...FOOTBALL. And it is only a little over a week into the season, I have a feeling it's going to be a long one. His Favorite is of course the Utah Utes, but we are not able to regularly attend those games anymore. So instead we get to go to the ASU games. At least they are a good team. It kind of brought me back to my days at San Diego State because the quality of girls seen, wearing as little as possible to a sporting event. It still was a lot of fun. I don't think I have ever been to a game that hot though. I was kind of missing the cooler games in Utah, not the ones in a freezing blizzard though! Go UTES!!!

Hey guys, it's Sean. The only time I get on here is when I am at work. It is friday evening and AT&T is dead. So I was reading our friends Andy and Melissa's blog and got this survey. It should keep me occupied for like 20 minutes so here it goes!!

3 Joys:
1. Being with my wife. I love coming home at night and having her look so happy to see me. Like Chels always says, being married is like a slumber party every night. I just love hanging out with her and being with her.
2. Last saturday began a 4 month long obsession of mine known as college football. Besides my hanging out with my wife it is my favorite thing in the world. I could watch anyone play and I would be like a kid in a candy store. My 2 favorite teams met last saturday with my alma mater Utah Utes beating my childhood favorites Michigan. It is definately a joy to have football back!!
3. Hanging out with my family. I never realized how much I really loved having my family around until we moved away from them. I love quoting movies with them. You definately know you are with the Van Wagenen's when you hear random movie and tv quotes flying around. I also love my inlaws. Me and Chels had a very different family upbringing and seeing how the Pettey clan reacts to my "stupidity" is absolutely epic!!! I love them, oh and being with my best friends is amazing.

Obsessions:
1. Sports. Mainly Utah Football, and the Phoenix Suns. I am alot obsessed with both of them.

Facts About Me:
1. Me and my wife met the summer after our senior years of high school. He aunt is my moms best friend from college. I went to Lake Powell with her aunt's family. I don't think we said 2 words to each other and she thought I was stupid because I slept in everyones bed and I had earrings and bleach blonde hair!!! We met up 6 years later and now we are in love!!! HAHAHA!!
2. I have an unbelievably great memory and use it to memorize and remember information that is not important or useful. I can memorize a song after about 5 times hearing it, and I have ALOT of movies and tv show memorized. I also remember EVERYTHING. If you are a little cloudy about a moment or memory and I was in some way involved, chances are I can tell you everything about it!!
3. I have a wierd obsession with food. I love it and talk about and pretty much always want it. I however will not eat fruit or vegetables or anything remotely healthy. My wife thinks that if I ate it I would like it, but I try to and I have an extemely quick gag reflex. I also love soda. If you want details, ask anyone who has ever been friends with me and they can tell you stories!!!

Ten years ago…
1. I was 16 and just strting my Junior year at Desert Vista High School
2. It was probably my most successful year of High School and my most fun. We went undefeated and won State in football. I was the leading scorer, captain, and MVP of my basketball team, and I was 4th at state in the 110 Hurdles.

Oh, isn't my husband the cutest thing ever!! Babe that was very sweet and thanks for all the nice things you said...right back at cha!! haha. Anyway, yesterday was our 1 year anniversary and I really can't believe how fast it has flown by. Our wedding was truly the best day of my life and I wish so bad that I could re-live that day again, it was perfect! Sean is so prefect for me in so many ways and I love him so much! He is such a hard worker and so patient with me. I can't wait for many more anniversaries and for our love to grow more! Thanks babe for everything and Happy 1 year Anniversary!!! I love you as big as the sky!!! Yesterday, I worked all day and had to come home and get ready real quick so we could leave for our lovers evening. So I didn't have time to get on the comp at all. Sean surprised me and we went to Scottsdale to the Hyatt and had a lovely dinner and then went on a gondola ride at the hotel. It was so amazing and romantic, I couldn't have asked for anything more!!! Here are a few pics of our anniversary!!

HARD TO BELIEVE IT WAS A YEAR AGO THAT CHELS AND I WERE MARRIED. LOOKING BACK IT REALLY HAS BEEN AN EVENTFUL AND CRAZY YEAR. MOVING AND GRADUATING SCHOOL WERE BOTH HUGE EVENTS FOR ME AND CHELS, BUT OUR WEDDING DAY BY FAR WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY YEAR. CHELS AND I WATCHED OUR WEDDING VIDEO YESTERDAY AND IT WAS GREAT TO REMEMBER WHAT A GREAT DAY THAT WAS. I KNOW THERE IS A SAYING THAT NOTHING IS PERFECT, BUT FOR ME THAT DAY WAS JUST THAT.....PERFECT. MY GRANDPA PERFORMED OUR SEALING, EVERYONE IN THE WORLD THAT MEANT ALOT TO ME WAS IN SACRAMENTO WITH US AND I GOT TO BE SEALED TO THE GREATEST WOMAN ALIVE. CHELSEA IS THE BEST, AND I CAN SAY THAT AFTER A YEAR I LOVE HER MORE EVERYDAY. SHE IS HILARIOUS AND FUN, SMART AND VERY SUPPORTIVE OF ME. IT HAS BEEN A GREAT YEAR AND I JUST WANTED TO TELL MY WIFE THAT I LOVE HER AND HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Last Thursday, Linds and the girls and I went to Carmel to see Holly and Marcus get married. It was so beautiful and so much fun. They were married in the Carmel Mission which was unreal. The night before we went to dinner and then bowling and had so much fun. Zoie loved to bowl and her favorite thing was her bowling shoes!!! They were huge on her and she could care less because she looked like the big kids. It really was such a fun time and I'm so glad Linds and the girls came with me. Sean had to stay home and work, but everyone couldn't get enough of the cute girls!!! Here are just some pics of the night before. This last week, Sean and I went to Phoenix to look for jobs and a house. We had some good luck and found a cute little 3 bedroom 2 bath duplex in Awahtukee. For those who aren't familiar with Phoenix, it's where Sean grew up and he is so excited to go back. I found a job working 2 days and so just need to find another job. We are so excited to start this new adventure in our lives and we are moving Dec. 13th. It is going to be here before you know it and I'm really excited for everything. Sean hasn't found a job, but has a phone interview this next week with the Phoenix Suns, he is so excited!
